Lear 75 captain/first officer

We are currently searching for a full-time Lear 75 captain/first officer to be part of an established three pilot Part 91 operation based in Quincy, Illinois. Our current area of flight operations includes the continental United States, all of Canada, Alaska, and the Caribbean. The applicant will need to be a team player with a strong focus on safety and customer service. The successful applicant will be expected to relocate to the Quincy Illinois area.
The applicant must be willing to accept and be responsible for managing all aircraft operations as needed. This includes but is not limited to;
  • Ensure a safe, dependable, and professional experience for all individuals traveling on the aircraft.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and confidentiality with passengers while maintaining a friendly atmosphere.
  • Supervise the loading of passengers and baggage. Acquaint all passengers with the use of aircraft cabin equipment, emergency procedures, and address all passenger needs and comfort. Review safety issues with passengers at the beginning and ending of flight.
  • Ensuring the aircraft meets all performance and airworthiness requirements
  • Calculating aircraft weight and balance and ensuring the aircraft is operated within its weight and balance requirements
  • Completing and/or assisting other crew member(s) with aircraft preflight duties
  • Ensuring all flights comply with company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Selecting the safest and most efficient flight routes and airports
  • Establishing contingency plans and alternates
  • Evaluating weather and other factors that may affect the safety, timing or routing of a flight (significant weather events, forecast turbulence, special events, airspace restrictions, air traffic congestion, etc.)
  • Ensuring all required permits and documents are obtained prior to departure
  • Willingness to oversee all aircraft ground support requirements including but not limited to fuel up-loads, hangar or overnight demands for the aircraft or personnel, and other aircraft necessities.
  • Be cognizant of costs associated with the operation of the aircraft which includes overseeing aircraft handlers, fueling, maintenance techs., and adhering to reasonable expenditure’s connected to all flight operations.
  • Work with Corporate Marketing department on flight schedules.  
  • Willing to assist in maintaining chart and navigation databases both electronic and paper (as required)
  • Conduct post-flight inspection, cleaning, lavatory service and the purchase/restocking of aircraft supplies as needed.
  • Maintain aircraft appearance and hangar facility
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge base of FAA rules and regulations, aircraft operations and systems, air traffic control procedures. Study current safety developments, techniques, and procedures.
  • Willing to accept further responsibilities as experience allows such as Company SOP’s, RVSM and MEL Manual revisions, and others as needed
  • Responsible for passing annual recurrent training which includes both classroom and simulator training.

RequirementsTo perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate and provide the following:
  • ALL APPLICANTS MUST Possess an ATP Certificate or a Commercial Pilot Certificate with an A&P Certificate, a Multi-engine instrument rating
  • Possess a current un-restricted Second Class Flight Physical and FCC License.
  • Possess a current Driver’s License and FCC License.
  • Valid and unrestricted USA Passport
  • Bachelors of Science Degree (Aviation Preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational, communication and multi-task skills. Utilize effectively all Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook). 
  • Demonstrate a professional appearance and behavior and be exceptionally reliable and timely.
  • Be open to a background check (to allow Canadian and other foreign operations without restrictions)
  • Willingness to comply with all company health and drug testing policies.
  • 2500 hours total airplane time, 1000 hours multi-engine and 500 hours turbine (Lear 45 type rating/experience a Plus)
